Natural disasters and human-produced upheavals seem to be accelerating in frequency and scale, and with each disruption, grave concern about humanity’s future escalates. The urgency to respond before the “point of no return” is amplified by modern speculation about the Mayan prophesies surrounding December 21, 2012, portending both the end of a planetary cycle and the possible dawning of a new consciousness. Christi, a “consciousness evolutionist” and activist, believes that a global shift in consciousness is not only necessary but an evolutionary inevitability and an opportunity: conscious evolution is the essential seed of change from which the future can grow. She writes that her “ascension process”–dramatic times of illness and awareness that began at age 16–enhanced her knowledge of wisdom traditions and her expertise for charting humanity’s progression to fifth-dimensional consciousness, from Homo sapiens to Homo luminous. Philosophically and pragmatically, Christi outlines the imperative and indicators for conscious evolution, asking each human to heed the call and realize what could be the soul’s highest purpose.

Over the past few years there has been a buzz, books have been written, predictions established and new prophecies created as to what will happen in 2012, when the Mayan calendar comes to an end. And, then there are the naysayers that pooh-pooh the whole concept. So, who is right? We aren’t going to really know until 2012 arrives and we move through it and out to 2013.
According to Nicolya Christi, in “2012: A Clarion Call,” humanity will take a global shift in consciousness. However, this can’t be done by just waiting around for 2012 to come and go. Christi provides us with a step-by-step process to heal and transform our own inner world, because the changes need to be made within ourselves before changes can occur in the outside world. She claims “No one really knows what will happen toward the end of December, 2012. While much depends on our individual work and process, it is possible that an event could occur in which everything will transform in a single moment as we collectively awaken to Oneness consciousness. Alternatively, the transformation of consciousness could be a gradual process, the initial shifts subtle at first, obvious only to those who are sensitive to energy, vibration, and frequency.” (p 80)
Personally, I’m not sure what will happen on December 21, 2012 except that I will be celebrating my daughter’s birthday. I believe in consciousness shifts and that they need to come from within. It’s possible a major shift will happen on the designated day. One thing I do know is that Christi has given me additional thought-processes to delve into and consider implementing into my own life. However, this is not because I’m in the panic-mode that a change will occur on a given day, or because my energy is shifting according to prophecies, but because I work daily on improving my own life in order to live each day to the fullest.
I encourage anyone that is confused or wants to know more about the Mayan prophecies and how we can shift our consciousness to evolve to a higher state, to consider this book, “2012: A Clarion Call.” Christi provides insights and exercises to help you rediscover your soul and its purpose in this lifetime on Earth. It is evident that she has researched this topic and is living the path chosen while continually evolving to a higher state of consciousness. Nicolya Christi is a good role model to follow.

I did not so much read this book, as it read me! It seems clear to me that anyone who reads this book will immediately feel the multi-level impact that it has at a deep level. From even the first pages I felt pure energy entering the heart, deep, resonant; totally beautiful and poignant. It felt as if the words had been written for me, yet at the same time I understood that the book was written for all of us. And in that awareness one feels and experiences unity. The words are powerful and contain the energy that brought them into being. Reading this book is akin to receiving a ‘holographic download’. The words and sentences convey many concepts which pour into the mind in a moment. It is as if there are many books within the one; beautiful and elegant. So much of what is expressed in the book seemed to apply to me and my life, and I know that everyone who reads this book will feel the same because of its unified and unifying essence. For anyone who has felt alone with their perceptions and beliefs; for anyone who has felt judged or victimised for knowing their truth; for anyone who has longed to be understood in their truth, this book is a divine gift. Reading this book is a home coming. It is energising. Ultimately, it is freeing. “2012: A Clarion Call” truly does call you to “your soul’s purpose in conscious evolution” and reminds us all to stand in the lightness of our being, in our own truth and to “let our courage be stronger than our fear”. This book is an act of pure connection and synthesis which has brought me, and I’m sure will bring others, joy, love, awakening and comfort so that they too can stand in their own truth and help shift the world.– L H – UK
An excellent guide to a world evolution
Nicolya Christi has done a good job of developing a book that gives not just an overview of the problem, but also a guide to ensure that you are able to become part of the solution. If you have been drawn to this book for whatever reason, then you already understand its importance and urgency. The book is written in an easy to read format and it is obvious that the author is passionate about the subject (as we all must be).
The time is now people. This is our chance for a better world. Lets use it.– Michael, 26 April 2011
