Raising Consciousness
What is consciousness and how do we define it?
The exploration of just what consciousness is dates back at least 5,000 years, when human beings first began to consider the possibility that there was more to existence than solely the physical experience. The question of what consciousness is has been explored by indigenous peoples, ancient cultures and civilizations as well as by the ancient Mystery Schools. In modern times, science and religion have also been preoccupied with this fundamental question. Yet, a definitive universal definition of what consciousness is does not exist.
A rational explanation of consciousness is that it is a function of knowing, a continuous process of thought and awareness.
In spite of all the exploration and research that has been conducted to try to find a solution to the question, the answer remains elusive. It seems that a division of thought exists between cognitive science, which views consciousness as a neurological phenomenon contained within the brain, and spirituality, which suggests consciousness as being a multi-dimensional phenomenon which exists both within and beyond the individual.
To what extent our consciousness is awakened depends upon our individual capacity for self-awareness. It can be said that to some degree consciousness is something that is influenced by our social environment and conditioning, and/or through significant experience, which can help it to awaken and evolve.
Consciousness can also be described as an experience of gnosis – inner-knowing, arising from within the depths of the individual. This is in contrast to a knowing which results from external influence and which belongs more in the arena of the conscious mind, which is an aspect of consciousness but is not consciousness itself. Both inner and outer experience shape, influence and evolve consciousness.
An expanded view of consciousness acknowledges the presence of the ‘I’ within, who experiences multi-dimensionally. Consciousness includes altered states, paranormal occurrences, out of body experiences, heightened states of awareness created by meditation, prayer and psychotropic substances, channeling, visions and ESP, (extra sensory perception). Indeed the whole range of esoteric/metaphysical/spiritual experience can awaken, raise and expand consciousness.
Following unending explorations and experiments in the quest to define consciousness, quantum physicists have scientifically proven that consciousness can and does affect matter existing beyond the boundaries of the physical body.
Rational thought is incapable of defining consciousness and even our basic capacity of perception makes the definition of consciousness elusive. Consciousness is a paradox, it is both the expression of many levels of existence, of being, yet at the same time, it is all one expression.
H.W. Percival, wrote the book, ‘Thinking and Destiny’ in 1946, whilst in an altered state of consciousness. Percival perceived himself to be conscious on another level of consciousness known as the Buddhic Plane. It was in this heightened state of consciousness that the book was “dictated” to him. Percival went on to explain: “Consciousness is the ultimate, the final Reality. Consciousness is that by the presence of which all things are conscious. Mystery of all mysteries, it is beyond comprehension. Without it nothing can be conscious; no one could think; no being, no entity, no force, no unit, could perform any function. Yet Consciousness itself performs no function: it does not act in any way; it is a presence, everywhere. Although there are countless degrees in being conscious, there are no degrees of Consciousness. Consciousness has no properties, no qualities, no attributes; it does no possess; it cannot be possessed. Consciousness never began; it cannot cease to be.”
Consciousness transcends all space and time. Consciousness is the source of our being and it is All of Existence, All That Is, Source, God, Divinity. It is the true domain of our personal, collective, galactic and universes beyond universes spiritual Home, that place from which we come and to which we shall return.
In Quantum Field Theory consciousness denotes the Zero-Point field, which contains fleeting electromagnetic waves and particles that pop into and out of existence. Quantum scientists continue to research and make groundbreaking new discoveries about the correlation between the consciousness of humanity and its impact on what they term the Zero Point field.
We are but a tiny spark of ALL THAT IS. ALL THAT IS, is consciousness. The vast and nebulous ocean of Divine Consciousness has infinite rivers, streams, and tributaries flowing into and from it. The energy of the individual and collective unconscious, conscious, and super-conscious, ebb and flow from this vast, nebulous and infinite Source.
Writer, Thomas Merton, said “If I penetrate to the depths of my own existence, to this indefinable AM that is myself in it’s deepest roots, then through this deep center I pass into the infinite I AM, which is the very name of the Almighty.”
We are all sparks of Divine Consciousness. We all hold a deep gnosis that we are part of something vast and unfathomable, so infinitely inexpressible and boundlessly indefinable, which may be termed as God, Source, or Divine Consciousness. However we name it, our gnosis tells us we are from it and to it we shall return. We are it, we are Consciousness, itself the Source of everything that exists. Consciousness is Existence.
We are in the time of the Great Awakening – the Awakening of Consciousness, of Divine Consciousness, of God Consciousness. We are awakening to the reality of our own divinity and to the Divine. Consciousness permeates every atom, every molecule and every cell of our very being and every energy beyond our Universe, be it animate or inanimate. All That Is, the AM and the I AM are immersed in the infinity and boundlessness of Divine Consciousness.
And in the midst of this Great Awakening to Consciousness, another extraordinary, yet entirely natural phenomenon is occurring – the raising of personal and the planetary FREQUENCY.
Consciousness Raises Frequency – Frequency Raises Consciousness
How?
To understand what Frequency is and how to raise your own, we suggest you participate in one of our ‘Raising Consciousness – Raising Frequency’ events.
By raising your own Consciousness and Frequency you will also help the planet to do the same for the all important date of December 21st 2012. (Read Nicolya’s book, ’2012: A Clarion Call’ for a full explanation of the tremendous significance of this date). It is the task of us all to help avert the pending environmental and economical disasters that we face, and ensure instead that we fulfill 2012 ancient prophecy, which is now confirmed by the current rare astronomical alignments and occurrences that take us to the 21st December 2012 date.
